An article written by HealthHelp President Amit Gupta, MD, is featured in the June 2016 edition of Evidence-Based Oncology (EBO). Evidence-Based Oncology is an indexed publication from The American Journal of Managed Care. The article, titled “Integrative Oncology Program Improves Efficiency and Outcomes in Oncology Care,” focuses on how HealthHelp’s recently launched integrative oncology program facilitates high quality cancer care.
The increasing complexity of treatment options and rising costs of cancer care are two problems plaguing oncologists and their patients. HealthHelp launched its integrative oncology program to help alleviate both issues. Using evidence-based guidelines, HealthHelp works with providers to optimize patient treatment plans, helping to ensure that patients receive the most appropriate, effective care. HealthHelp is the first specialty benefits manager to offer such a program, which coordinates care with providers across all specialties related to cancer care including radiation therapy, medical oncology, and oncology surgery.
For a more in-depth look at how HealthHelp’s integrative oncology program works and how it improves outcomes in oncology care, read the full article on EBO’s website.
